Hep C Epidemic Prompts Public Health Advisory

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Health has issued a public health advisory after Hepatitis C cases in the state tripled over the last seven years. Clayton Barnes, who has now been clean and sober for three months, wants to help others who suffer from addiction and the health issues that come along with drug use. Tennessee Public Health Commissioner John Dreyzehner, MD, MPH said the increasing number of cases may only represent the “tip of the iceberg.”
