An Extension Of A Successful Recovery Program.
At Addiction Campuses we believe that outpatient care is an extension of our already successful residential / inpatient treatment program. It is not typically recommended that an addict begin treatment using an outpatient program because unlike residential treatment programs, patients are not provided with the safe, secure environment that isolates them from negatively influencing factors. Patients return to their own environments after outpatient drug or alcohol treatment, and must voluntarily abstain from drug or alcohol use, which requires a greater amount of diligence and means a higher chance of relapse.
We set up our clients to succeed by using outpatient treatment as part of our treatment continuum, but traditionally not as the first step.
In some specific cases, outpatient treatment is provided as THE program. A client stays in their own home for dinner and to sleep, but returns each day to the outpatient program and participates in addiction therapy from 8 to 6 PM on campus. If a client is participating in this type of outpatient care and is from out of town, Addiction Campuses assists in finding affordable living quarters that are close to treatment.
Considering Outpatient Care And The Recovery Process
Outpatient care is not for everyone. Often challenges like friction in the home environment, unhealthy relationships with friends and neighbors exist, and habitual stress can also be a problem for someone struggling with addiction.
We provide a detailed assessment to determine for our clients if outpatient addiction treatment is right for them. We take into account a client’s work schedule, family obligations and addiction progression to establish outpatient treatment parameters. Clients can come 6 hours a day or 10 hours a day for rehab treatment.
We have several outpatient centers available. All of our outpatient programs offer similar programming as our residential models, including:
- Individualized Treatment Planning
- Dual Diagnosis Treatment
- Support Groups
- Individual Therapy
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy
- Pastoral Recovery
Our outpatient programs (like our residential programs) provide a support network for patients in the form of official support groups, individual counseling, and family counseling so that patients are never alone in their recovery. Addicts are provided with a strong support network of non-using peers and sponsors that provide a new, positive element of social change in an addict’s life and facilitates long-term recovery.
