Addiction Campuses of Mississippi Receives Joint Commision Certification

Joins List of Top Healthcare Providers with a Standard of Excellence
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Addiction Campuses of Mississippi (ACMS), a leading provider of addiction recovery treatment, announced today they have now joined the ranks of the Joint Commission, a United States nonprofit that holds a standard of excellence for over 20,000 health care organizations in the country. A majority of state governments recognize Joint Commission accreditation as a condition of licensure.

The Joint Commission’s standards and emphasis on clinical practice guidelines help organizations establish a consistent approach to care, reducing the risk of error. Providing standards of clinical excellence, Commission reviewers provide knowledgeable assessments of applicants and offer experienced feedback on how to build and maintain a cohesive, excellent clinical team.
Addiction Campuses recently underwent a rigorous on-site survey with the Joint Commission. During the review, compliance with behavioral health care standards related to several areas including care, treatment, services, environment of care, leadership and screening procedures for the early detection of imminent harm. On-site observations and interviews also were conducted.
Established in 1969, the Joint Commission’s Behavioral Health Care Accreditation program currently accredits more than 2100 organizations for a 3-year period. Accredited organizations provide treatment and services within a variety of settings across the care continuum for individuals who have mental health, addiction, eating disorder, intellectual/developmental disability, and/or child-welfare related needs.
