The Bluffs’ recovery programs are uniquely designed to the needs of the individual. From clinically-proven and evidence-based models to experiential and adventure-based therapies, you’ll discover a recovery track appropriate for personal growth and healing through practical and integrated care.

Treatment Modalities

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a type of psychotherapy that centers around solution-based thinking. Our professional team at The Bluffs implements CBT methods to help clients overcome destructive patterns of behavior, as well as create and work towards their goals.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

DBT is a type of cognitive behavioral therapy aimed at helping patients deal with painful emotions and conflict in their relationships. The Bluffs therapist guide clients with DBT skills in order to problem solve and discover acceptance.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

At The Bluffs, many clients must sort through past traumas in order to address their drug misuses. EMDR is a structured therapy that has been proven effective for the treatment of trauma.

Dual Diagnosis (Co-Occurring Disorders)

A dual diagnosis is any combination of a mental health disorder and substance abuse or addiction. At The Bluffs, we understand that in order to treat the addiction, we must also address any mental or mood disorders.

Experiential & Adventure Therapy

Uniquely located on the beautiful Atwood Lake, amongst the rolling hills, our campus is posed for plenty of fresh air and outdoor activity. From miles of hiking trails to lake activities (when seasonally appropriate), to musical instruments and art - we offer a variety of experiential and adventure therapy to supplement traditional therapy models.

Family Therapy

Family sessions at The Bluffs are scheduled by our Master’s level therapists and are typically done in person. We also provide arrangements for family sessions via conference calls.

A Typical Day In Rehab At The Bluffs

When considering treatment at The Bluffs, you may wonder what to expect on a day-to-day basis in rehab. While our inpatient rehab offers a wide range of therapies, activities and programming, overall, scheduling remains structured and organized.
